How Wendy Montessori get started

We believe that everything happens for a reason, and that God has a plan for each of us. Having a child with special needs in the family should never be seen as a burden. Instead, it is an opportunity to strengthen our resilience, grow our tolerance, and demonstrate our commitment to family. It’s a testament to our capability and worth, strengthening the bond that ties us together.

Looking back, it feels like it just happened yesterday—the moment we decided to start fresh. The day we made the firm decision to prioritize nothing but our family and embark on creating our very own Montessori. To this day, we’ve proven that our Montessori program offers not only a space for learning but also a community where children with special needs can thrive, grow, and connect.

We live in a multicultural society, a community made up of individuals from diverse backgrounds, each with their own unique personalities and experiences. In such an inclusive environment, we are guiding our children to embrace diversity from a young age. We teach them to treat everyone with fairness and equality, with a strong emphasis on the importance of respect. Children with special needs are no different from other children; they deserve to be treated with kindness and fairness, as they too have valuable contributions to make to society.

We firmly believe that an inclusive classroom helps our typical children, who grow up alongside children with special needs, develop strong character and a deep sense of empathy, understanding, and care for others. This environment fosters independence, responsibility, and leadership as they learn to engage with individuals of varying abilities. These children are the future leaders and stars of our society.

Wendy Montessori serves as a platform for us to realize this vision. Through our work, we hope to contribute to the creation of a more equitable society, where everyone plays a part. This is the foundation of what we believe society should be—respectful, inclusive, and fair to all.

A special note here, formation of gratitude based on our beloved son Kenneth, 8. Throughout the journey, there isn’t equal share of love to him as we focus much on Wendy, gratitude as his understanding and maturity in taking care of Wendy as well as sharing his love to both his sisters. We are foremost proud of him! He at many times takes the lead in guiding through both his sisters both academically and in their curriculum activities. He enjoys much in in teacher-like role playing to guide both his sister through their home works, singing lessons etc. He is a little teacher from home to school for other children as well. Queenie (4 years old) too is deeply influenced by Kenneth as she sees him as a role model, and of course they spend most of their time together, cares much about Wendy and especially children who younger than her. We are blessed to have Kenneth and Queenie to prove that inclusive environment has mutual benefits! This journey is precious as it make us very confident to say inclusive environment will benefit typical children as they learnt respect, care for other, being empathy and responsible like a leader.

This was properly adapted in Wendy Montessori as well. A special introduction would be made every time we have a child with special need enrolled, just to make sure more tolerance, understanding, and cares are given to the child. We have seen our children grew up with more capability to adapt, and most importantly the respect that they apply to all EQUALLY. A mission well achieved and we strive to make sure it grew better from days.

Children at this age are like a sponge, they absorb whatever they see, whatever they experience. We at Wendy Montessori provide an environment to nurture not only academically, but much focus on a child’s behavior through a healthy environment. Wendy Montessori does not promise you doctor-to-be/ engineer-to-be students, we nurture students to be equipped with doctor-to-be, engineer-to-be behavior and qualification, we injects non-quitting spirits to them, we nurture independence thinking, we raise students that respects all others. We strongly believe one’s behavior dictates one’s future.

Wendy Montessori is like a big family to us, we care much not only about our students at Montessori, we care much too on them at their daily life. All these factors contribute to a healthy growing environment for them. We are blessed to have parents that believe in us and willing to coordinate alongside to the learning process by offering a caring environment for their children to grow within, hence the multiple success stories that we witness.

Again we would like to sincerely thank you all on the recognition of our hard work. It’s not easy but we are thus far we do want to thank especially our fellow teammates and teachers at Wendy Montessori that they have been a big contribution factors of our milestone achievement. Of course, as to mention again, much gratitude and appreciation needs to be shared to all of those that we care, and all of those that care about us, without the support given from your good end, we won’t be anywhere near here today for the Inclusion Education. Thank you all!
